2005 Merlot - Katherine Leone Vnyd
This wine is 100% Merlot from the Katherine Leone Vineyard, on the Wahluke Slope. This vineyard is owned by the Milbrandt Family, and managed by Butch Milbrandt. I have worked with this beautiful fruit since 2000. This is the first of many single vineyard designates to come from this source. The warm days of the Wahluke Slope, with nice cooling breezes, produce big jammy wines with the structure to age gracefully.
2004 Merlot
No "I'll have a Merlot" light weight kind of wine, this one. It's full of blackberry and cherry and is chewy - not to excess, with oak but definitely a wine that will be enjoyed most by folks who like to carry on a dialog with their wine.
2003 Merlot
This may be the best Klipsun Merlot I have ever produced. It's a Merlot for people who like to drink Cabernet. Perfect now, or over the course of the next eight years, paired with spring lamb.
