Oyster & Wine Night

We are teaming up with our friends at Taylor Shell Fish for an evening of wine and superb Taylor Shell fish. Taylor Shell Fish has been growing shellfish in the bays and inlets of Puget Sound in Washington for over 100 years. Their farms are in some of the most beautiful and nutrient-rich tidelands in the world where clean, clear waters provide the environment for growing some of the most bountiful and flavorful shellfish harvests to be found anywhere. They have farms and nurseries in Washington, British Columbia, California, a hatchery in Hawaii, a black pearl farm in Fiji, Fanny Bay Oysters in Canada, and Taylor Fine Foods in Hong Kong.

With February being prime time for fresh oysters, we couldn’t resist the idea of having some ordered into our Post Alley space. We are currently open for reservations and have more tantalizing details on this truly fantastic pairing!

You will be welcomed by a smiling face and a Treveri Cellars sparkling wine tasting, which will be set up just next to the fresh oyster table. Winemakers from Wilridge Winery will be at the shucking table pouring their delicious white wines,  including what could be the last of their crowd favorite 2011 Rosebud Viognier. There will be at least 4 varieties of oysters including Kumamoto and Native Olympia for your wine pairing antics.  A selection of Manila clams and Mediterranean mussels with market fresh bread will be just across the room. We will also have some delightful seafood friendly red wines from Harlequin Wine Cellars, Latitude 46 N and Wilridge Winery open for tasting at the bar. All of the featured wines will be at a special discount on bottles for the evening as well.
